【摘要】:Thistestmethodprovidesaguidefordeterminingthewaterseparationcharacteristicsofoilssubjecttowatercontaminationandturbulence.Itisusedforspecificationofnewoilsandmonitoringofin-serviceoils.1.1Thistestmethodcoversmeasurementoftheabilityofpetroleumoilsorsyntheticfluidstoseparatefromwater.Althoughdevelopedspecificallyforsteam-turbineoilshavingviscositiesof28.8x2013;90mm2/sat40x00B0;C,thistestmethodmaybeusedtotestoilsofothertypeshavingvariousviscositiesandsyntheticfluidsatothertesttemperatures.Itisrecommended,however,thatthetesttemperatureberaisedto82x00B1;1x00B0;Cwhentestingproductsmoreviscousthan90mm2/sat40x00B0;C.Forhigherviscosityoilswherethereisinsufficientmixingofoilandwater,TestMethodD2711isrecommended.Othertesttemperaturessuchas25x00B0;Cmayalsobeused.A1%sodiumcholoride(NaCl)solutionorsyntheticseawatermaybeusedinplaceofdistilledwaterwhentestingcertainoilsorfuelsusedinmarineapplications.1.2Whentestingsyntheticfluidswhoserelativedensitiesaregreaterthanthatofwater,theprocedureisunchanged,butitshouldbenotedthatthewaterwillprobablyfloatontheemulsionorliquid.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecificwarningstatements,seeSection6.
